We are "The Sunny Side Up": Our band brings the atmosphere of a sunny day with a fresh, groovy sound that blends R&B, funk, pop, jazz, and more. With a repertoire full of well known pop and rock songs, we give every tune a new life by wrapping it in a soulful, funky jacket that gets people moving.

All band members have met at the music school where they also teach, or know each other from their musical education at Artez. This background not only gives them a high level of musicianship but also a good connection and interaction on stage.

Meet the steps
The Steps prove that jazz can be dance music. Putting their focus on the groove together with intriguing melodies, harmonies and a whole lot of energy, they won't stop until everybody is moving.

The Steps has their own repertoire of groove based funky originals, combined with some covers. However, The Steps also have another set with work of Art Blakey, Billy Strayhorn, Roy Hargrove and other traditional jazz classics.

Wingspan: The trumpet & piano duo
Wingspan
Wingspan is a contemporary jazz duo featuring Tim Consemulder on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Wiard Brandsma on piano.
Inspired by jazz, funk, Brazilian, classical, and popular music, they bring a wide range of influences into their sound. With a strong focus on improvisation and interaction, the duo remains passionate about tradition while approaching the piano–trumpet format with a fresh and open perspective.
